AORUS FI27Q-P Monitor Detailed Review – 2022

Last Updated on March 1, 2022

The  Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ has become one of the most hype gaming monitors of 2020. Although, people are still struggling to find anything special that may be the cause of its sudden fame and demand, we’re guessing it would provide a better quality of display image and responsiveness. This monitor is also quite expensive, as it is sold at Amazon at approximately $649.99. The monitor itself looks sleek, gothic, and gives off a whole ‘bad boy’ gaming vibe. But we cannot simply rely on its looks to justify its pricing and demand in the market. Let’s move on to read if it’s really that worth the hype.

Design and Features

The design and features of Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ have been following the standards of AD27Q-P in terms of unapologetic and bold structures. The whole monitor gives off a matte black gothic look which looks like an excellent piece to compliment the gaming room. It’s classy, elegant, and stands out on its own. The monitor comes with its own chassis and stand. When it comes to gaming monitors, matte black colors complement the whole theme more than any other color that gives off non-serious vibes.

The whole structure of the monitor looks elegant and neat than any other computer in the market. As it is already obvious, the Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ is as expensive as it can get but it’s worth all the money. The quality of this monitor is exemplary and the structure is well-built and sturdy. It may look fragile and accident-prone but it has been tested well. So far, it’s a stubborn monitor when it comes to accidents and breakage. The reliability of this monitor is guaranteed even after getting upgraded.

The structure of the monitor goes something like this:

The backside of this monitor contains a wing-shaped RGB LED array which is fixed to perform the task with RGB fusion. The entire function of this monitor is to make a gaming eco-system that is fully synchronized with lightening themes. With all the fixed theme setups and colorful designs, it is a joy for people who dig these things to find in a gaming monitor. The monitor is adjusted and given support with its own adjustable stand which is as amazingly structured as the monitor itself. It provides complete stability and balances to the monitor.

The monitor also contains LED lights that can be used to play around or adjust according to your preferences. Also, if one prefers, they can also mount up VESA in it too. Aorus FI27Q-P 27 inches has an upgrade which is to shift from 1.2a to a 1.4 display port. It also contains three USB ports along with two 2.0 slots and two 3.5mm jacks. It also contains a voice filter that blocks out any unnecessary noise commands in your microphone before it reaches the motherboard, hence giving you a clear sound.

To show that Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ is not only for the gamers, it also provides a 600-ohm headphones amp. Using 600-ohm headphones with this monitor can improve the voice results and makes it sound better than just satisfactory. One thing which this Aorus monitor lacks is there are no speakers. Since it is assumed that the users will probably use earphones, this is why the lack of speakers will most probably make up for it.

Lastly, it contains a 1440p image quality which is more than amazing, as well as full control over your gaming setup, but most people still consider it too much of an investment over a few good features which can be compromised over satisfactory ones as a replacement.

Display and Performance

The Aorus FI27Q-P monitor contains a 27-inch display screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Although it had shown tremendous success in its release, it still lacks an upgrade for the backlight to reach beyond 350 cd/m2. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t an upgrade at all.

The new upgrade in this monitor is the extra refresh rate. When it comes to gaming in this monitor, it gives a tremendously sharper and quality level of view on the screen. It also contains an anti-aliasing feature that works for graphic enhancements.

The color quality and density of this monitor are 1.6 by default, so maybe this is something that needs to be worked on. Also, the choice of colors is said to be too warm for some of the users, which makes it need a colorimeter right away. The brightness is extremely well.

It said to have a maximum brightness of 479cd/m2, which the users can, of course, adjust according to their comfort level. The screen of this monitor also contains a backlight strobing feature, i.e. the aim stabilizer.

Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ Final Verdict

Aorus FI27Q-P 27″ is so far a good enough monitor when it comes to display and image quality. However, as good as the monitor can be with its exceptional RGB lighting and color contrast, most people wouldn’t consider spending that much on a monitor just for these features.
